Approach

My father was a film photographer, and he handed me a full-frame camera when I was fourteen on one condition: manual only. By sixteen I was shooting runway for an international modelling and talent agency in New York. I went on to study wildlife biology and art history at Millsaps College, and the work I made then was picked up and shared by National Geographic, GoPro and Canon.

I shoot hybrid, which means high-end digital alongside my vintage Hasselblads, with drone coverage where the day calls for it. Film is slower and it makes me wait for the frame rather than take fifty of them. My partner Will photographs beside me, so there are two of us on a wedding day and almost nothing gets missed.

I was born and raised in Mandeville and I keep an apartment in New Orleans and a townhouse in Jackson, Mississippi. Weddings, elopements, engagements, proposals, lifestyle sessions and boudoir, from fifteen guests to five hundred and fifty, in more than twenty states and seven national parks. If it means carrying champagne up the side of a mountain, I am already packed.
